A Data Center is a collection of Racks. A Rack is a collection of Servers. A Server contains 256 virtual nodes (or vnodes) by default. In this post i will show you how you can easily create cluster in the Data center step by step.

When a host is added to a cluster, the resources of the host become part of the resources of the cluster. The cluster manages the resources of all hosts that it contains. Starting with vSphere 6.7, you can create and configure a cluster that is hyper-converged. We are looking at adding a 2nd/3rd datacenter with 1 cluster each (for now, I think…) and we were looking at failing over between VMware DC’s.
